Focusing optics

The focusing optics (BEOs) focus the laser beam on the workpiece. The focal point of the lens is the processing point on the workpiece. Depending on the aspect ratio, they apply the full beam quality of the laser for precise applications or work with an increased working distance for processes with a wider diameter or expected spatter formation. As the processing point is fixed, the BEOs must be moved along an axis or the workpiece is passed under the optics. Thanks to the modular design, the optics can be optimally configured for the machining process. Various functions such as Crossjet, protective glass monitoring and process sensors such as VisionLine are available. Bi- and multifocal beam output is also possible in order to process a workpiece at several points.
